Panther Candle Company, the Spring Hill High School Life Skills classroom business, recently used a portion of the profits from its spring candle sale to purchase meals for the SHISD Backpack Program.
“Thanks to your candle orders, we were able to provide 77 Backpack Program students with a spaghetti meal, rice, beans and pancake mix for Spring Break," said Life Skills teacher Jamie McFaul. “Not only did they learn employability skills, our students also took a shopping trip to work on their life skills by shopping, sorting and bagging up all of the food. We are so excited to be able to give back to our community that supports us so much!”
