SHJH Students Recently Traveled to Washington, DC and New York City

Last week a group of Spring Hill Junior High students traveled to Washington, DC and New York City. The group visited Arlington National Cemetery to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A wreath was donated on behalf of the school, and two Spring Hill students were able to participate in the ceremony.

Other notable stops in Washington, DC included the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Ford’s Theatre, and the grounds around the White House and the U.S. Capitol Building. While in New York they visited the Empire State Building, the New York Stock Exchange, Central Park, Times Square, and Ellis Island.
